The best airlines awards 2019 as voted for by the public
The Skytrax world airlines awards are eagerly-awaited and were compiled via an online survey of consumers over a period from September 2018 to May 2019.
The awards cover categories including World’s Best Airlines, World’s Cleanest Airlines, Best Low Cost Airlines, as well as awards for best cabin crew and best food.
The World’s best this year was won by Qatar, which has now won five times (previously in 2017, 2015, 2012 and 2011) but was beaten last year by Singapore Airlines. Qatar also won World’s Best Business Class, World’s Best Business Class Seat and Best Airline in the Middle East.
This year, Singapore was in second place for World’s Best, but also won World’s Best Cabin Crew, World’s Best First Class, Best Airline in Asia and World’s Best First Class Seat.
Lufthansa remained the only European airline to break the top 10.
