Signs of a return to normality for routine hospital appointments

While hospital waiting times for surgery have lengthened as treatments were suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic there have been signs that things have been returning to normal for routine treatments and appointments.

While inevitably hospitals have a large backlog of patients to deal with in Suffolk the Chief medical officer at Ipswich and Colchester hospitals, Dr Angela Tillett, said a “great deal” of work has been happening to restart clinics and treatments.

The catch-up effort includes using private hospitals and putting on extra clinics and operating sessions.

We have a number of customers who have used our services to get them to and from hospitals and clinics and are noticing an increase in the numbers who have now resumed their appointments.

Our vehicles are all carefully sanitised after each customer and are all fitted with screens to keep you safe.

If you need to get to an appointment and are uncomfortable about using public transport or have health and mobility issues that mean this is not an option, why not give us a call. We’re happy to help.
