Home or abroad for Easter?
Easter was a little earlier than usual last year and school holidays started at the end of March. This year most school spring terms end around April 4, by which time some of us will be ready for a holiday.
But this year’s later Easter will hopefully mean better weather if you’re thinking of taking a break in the UK rather than heading abroad.
Beach or City?
If you need some sun, sea and vitamin D favourite destinations are Spain and Italy, or Greece, especially for families with children where a beach, a pool and a comfortable hotel are important considerations. But if you want somewhere more unusual how about the North African coast, particularly Tunisia or Morocco.
A city break can be fun and interesting for a change. Barcelona, Paris or Rome offer plenty of interesting sights and places to eat as well as a variety of places to stay from budget options to the five star hotel.
Northern Europe is often forgotten as a destination for a city holiday. Why not try Prague in the Czech Republic, or Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital city, or perhaps explore Stockholm or Amsterdam for a change?
What if you want to stay in the UK?
For those who want a break but are happy to holiday in the UK for walking and activity holidays the Lake District is always a favourite. Within easy reach of Suffolk there is Thetford Forest is one of many places where you can find adventure activities like Go Ape, or if you’d like to visit a forest further afield Center Parks operates in several locations.
