Pre-Christmas events in Suffolk?

Sadly last-minute Covid lockdowns disrupted many pre-Christmas events last year and this year many families will be starting earlier to save up to try to deal with the cost of living crisis and still allow for some Christmas treats for the children.

So, we thought we would try to get ahead to help you to plan for possible events, particularly things to do with the children.

But, organisers do not yet seem to have got their act together so we’re including a list of the most popular ones to watch out for, even though they have not yet confirmed they will be going ahead.

Late night shopping in Lavenham along with a Christmas Market will hopefully return after the market had to be cancelled last year. It usually runs for a week or two in late November and early December.

Will Father Christmas show up at Snape Maltings? No date as yet but this is always a popular event for the children.

Kersey Mill and Jimmy’s Farm also usually hold a workshop or a Santa’s Grotto – watch this space!

Many people love the festivities at Kentwell Hall, where there are usually pre Christmas family days out, and there may, we hope, be the regular Christmas craft markets at Stonham Barns as well as the Christmas Fair at Long Melford.

We’ll be keeping a look out for the first news of any of these – and others – and we’ll let you know as soon as we can.
