Do I have to wear a mask in a hired vehicle?

We are often asked by customers whether they need to wear a mask when they are using our services.

It is understandable that there is some confusion as the rules are that masks must be worn on public transport.

However, although we do transport the public, they are either individuals or family members and in any case our customers are travelling in the back of our vehicles, all of which are fitted with screens between driver and passengers. All our cars are thoroughly sanitised between passengers to ensure maximum safety.

Next week’s rule change on gatherings being limited to no more than six people indoors or out will not affect you either as our cars cannot transport six people.

Having said all that, if a customer is nervous, as many people currently are with Coronavirus numbers rising again, there is no reason why you should not wear a mask if that’s what you prefer.
