Winter cruises for all ages and climates

When the nights start to draw in and the weather turns grey and gloomy many of us start dreaming of escape.

It’s no surprise that winter is the most popular time for Britons to go on a cruise and there is a huge choice available from adults-only to family cruises and to a variety of destinations. Many cruises depart in late October and throughout November.

Winter can be one of the best times to visit the Scandinavian countries.  Many of these winter cruises start from Harwich and take in the Norwegian Fjords, along with European Cities including Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Stockholm.  Or you could go further afield to see some of Baltic Cities such as Tallinn and St. Petersburg.

New popular cruises for the 2018 winter season include Greenland with all the wildlife that can involve: polar bears, narwhals and walruses. Closer to home are cruises around the Hebrides, Scotland.

Somehow, winter is different when you view it from the comfort of a cruise ship with quick stops for exploration.

How about a few days in the warm?

If the idea of Nordic cold leaves you cold, perhaps you’d prefer a few days of leisurely sailing around the Mediterranean or the Canary Islands.

Although the departure point for many of these is from Spain, Southampton, with four cruise terminals, is the UK’s most popular cruise departure point.  It offers some sailings to the Caribbean and the Canaries as well as to European destinations.

We can take care of the journey for you

Whether your departure point is from a UK port or from an airport, you are likely to need a variety of outfits for the on-board activities that can range from casual and informal, sports and dress-up occasions. That means luggage!

Then there is the decision about whether to leave your car at the terminal while you are away.

You can avoid all that with Superb Travel Suffolk. We’ll get you to and from your departure point comfortably and in good time and we’ll help with the luggage if you need it.  When we pick you up we’ll have a welcome home pack containing the basics (tea and bread) or we’ll stop off en route so you can pick up a few provisions for when you get home.
